Week #6 of the regular NFL season is here. Hopefully by now you’ve seen some great success with your daily fantasy football season. If not, you are in the right place to get the information you need to turn that around. In this weekly segment, we’ve been looking at a couple players from each of the three major positions, telling you both their strengths and their weaknesses. With that in mind, use this information as you get set to draft your team.

Quarterback

Drew Brees: Brees has had a strong season so far, and this is one of the first games in a long time where he is not overpriced. Couple this with the fact that he is going against a defense that is has been a bit weak on their pass blocking this season: the Carolina Panthers. Brees has 10 touchdowns this season, a total of 1,269 yards this season, and only 3 interceptions. That comes out to 317.3 yards per game. His completion rate is a touch lower right now than his career average, but not enough that we are concerned at all. Also, in most leagues, he’s priced lower than Cam Newton who is questionable at this point. Even if Newton plays, the Panthers have a much weaker pass defense than the Saints do. Brees might still be a touch pricey, but he’s the better choice here.

Andrew Luck: Luck has had a strong season personally, although his team has underperformed. However, in this instance, Luck is a bit out of his element. Going against the Houston Texans is going to hurt his passing game, and Luck is likely to have a subpar performance. The Colts look like they are a decent matchup for the Texans, but Luck is going to need to rely on the rush more than he usually does in this game. That is likely to bring his stats down considerably. Unless he is extremely cheap, he needs to be passed by here.

Wide Receiver

Antonio Brown: If Brown is not the most expensive player in your league this week, you need to draft him instantly. But even if he is, then he’s worth taking a long look at. He is going against the Miami Dolphins this week, who have one of the weakest pass defenses in the NFL right now. Even a bad game from Brown is unlikely to yield subpar results from him. He has 5 touchdowns in 5 games, and is currently averaging 89.4 yards per game. Brown is likely to have yet another strong game, and even if he is the most expensive player in your roster, he will probably be worth it.

Kelvin Benjamin: The only WR that might be more useful this week than Brown is Benjamin. He is going against a defense that is slightly weaker than Miami’s in the New Orleans Saints and he’s going to be a lot cheaper than Brown, giving him the potential for more value in a point per dollar sense. Benjamin is averaging 61.6 yards per game and has 4 touchdowns. If you can’t afford Brown, Benjamin is the next one on the list that you should be considering, ahead of anyone else you might find in between them. The only catch here is that QB Cam Newton is questionable for this weekend. If Newton is out, Benjamin should be avoided.

Running Back

Le’Veon Bell: Bell is undoubtedly the best RB in the NFL right now. After just a couple games, he’s averaging 105 yards per game and has 14 receptions, too. Bell is playing on the road this week, though. That means he might have a subpar performance this week—at least compared to what he’s been doing. Finally, also know that the Miami defense is not nearly as poor against the rush as it is against the pass. Bell is likely to be utilized a bit less than usual here.

DeMarco Murray: Murray is in a far better situation than Bell is this week. One, he’s probably going to be quite a bit cheaper. Two, the Cleveland Browns rush defense is much weaker than those that many of the other top RBs this season are up against. His 5 TDs and 92.2 yards per game doesn’t hurt his prognosis, either.
