Week #15 is already underway now that Thursday’s game between the Buccaneers and the Rams is over, and that means Sunday action is about to begin. Here, we will go over some of the bigger games and evaluate them from a daily fantasy sports perspective, complementing our perspective with some insight from what the experts in Las Vegas are saying. This should give us a well rounded look at what’s going on and what some of the better moves are for you as you draft your fantasy football team.

Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers

There’s a big debate going on in Denver as to which quarterback to use. There’s the legendary Peyton Manning, who has been extremely disappointing this year, or Brock Osweiler, Manning’s backup. According to reports, Manning is not quite ready to return, and because of that, should definitely not be used for fantasy purposes.

The Denver defense has been stellar this year, and that has inflated their win-loss record to much better than the team actually is. The Vegas books say that Pittsburgh is a 7 point favorite for this game, and this reason alone should be enough to stay away from Denver’s defense this week. However, it’s also a good reason to stay away from big name performers like Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger, wide receiver Antonio Brown, and running back DeAngelo Williams, all of whom have been great fantasy contributors this year. Unfortunately, this game negates a lot of their edge and makes their fantasy salaries just a little too high to justify their weakened performances.

Cleveland Browns at Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are big favorites for this game; Vegas has them expected to win by 15 points. This is good news for fantasy managers because it means that the Seattle offense should be unstoppable. QB Russell Wilson is a good pick, almost regardless of what his price is this weekend. The Seattle defense is also a good pick. They’ve been getting stronger as the year has progressed, and against the chaos of Cleveland’s offensive situation right now, they should prosper this game.

Don’t forget to check out the prices of top Seattle performers like WR Doug Baldwin, RB Thomas Rawls, and TE Jimmy Graham. Graham only has 2 touchdowns this year, but there’s more potential for him this game than there has been in any other game for him so far this season. And because of that he will more than likely be at a very generous price.

Because of the sizeable gap in between these two teams in predicted point totals, there is little reason to use any players from Cleveland. Even at cheap prices, they are probably too pricey compared to their expected outcome. Next week or the week after they may have more potential, but definitely not for this game.

Arizona Cardinals at Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles have been on a roll the last couple games, but that’s more than likely to come to an end this week. The Cardinals, led by QB Carson Palmer, are 4 point favorites as the visiting team, which means that they are more realistically 7 point favorites. The Philadelphia defense has been much better as of late, and that could impact Palmer’s potential, but not enough to hold him back from being a top five QB this weekend. Also look to WR Larry Fitzgerald for some strong fantasy value this weekend. Fitzgerald is averaging over 83 yards per game right now, and this is a game where his numbers are likely to be higher than average. Even though Philly’s defense has been better than the first part of the season, it is still not strong enough to hold back the Palmer-Fitzgerald combo. Just be careful because he is listed as probable this weekend and not yet definite, thanks to an ankle injury. Either way, he is a strong choice, assuming that you don’t have to make sacrifices in other parts of your roster as a result of drafting him.
