DraftKings are running a baseball Friday Mega Perfect Game so we have come up with four selections to include in your roster for this evening’s matches. The fantasy website has decided to increase its partnership with Major League Baseball. The company will offer the official daily fantasy game for MLB. DraftKings will present daily games like today’s and a unique fan experience.
DraftKings are offering $50K to the winner of their Mega Perfect Game. Pitchers will win points based on the following categories: inning pitched, strike out, win, complete game, complete game shut out and no hitter. Points will be lost in these aspects of pitching: earned run allowed, hit against, base on balls against and hit batsmen. Hitting statistics for pitchers will not be counted. To make selections based on sound criteria a player’s Total Runs Average (TRA) should be calculated.

Friday’s Selections
Tim Lincecum (San Francisco Giants at Philadelphia Phillies) has good numbers for letting players walk and his TRA compares favourably with the opposing pitcher in this match. His season Earned Run Average is lower than his career figure which indicates he is improving as a pitcher after eight years in MLB. After poor returns in his last two matches Lincecum can get his season back on track against the Phillies.
Aaron Sanchez (Toronto Blue Jays hosting Houston Astros) has a significant advantage in terms of TRA over Roberto Hernandez of Houston. The selection is another player who has seen a dip this year but the match against the Astros is a good opportunity to consolidate form and confidence. He allowed just two runs in seven innings striking out five in his latest appearance last Saturday.
Scott Kazmir (Oakland Athletics at Boston Red Sox) has a season ERA more than one point better than his career mark gained in ten full seasons in MLB. He has superior a TRA than Wade Miley of the Red Sox and can see his team home tonight. After injury Kazmir threw painless bullpen sessions on Sunday and Tuesday and is scheduled to pitch in this match tonight rather than be rested until Saturday.
Kyle Gibson (Minnesota Twins hosting Milwaukee Brewers) is returning far better season ERA figures than his numbers throughout his full career which is now in its third season at this level. He has excellent stats for allowing batters to walk and a significant pitching advantage over Kyle Lohse for the Brewers. Gibson starts on Friday after his side’s rotation was changed following a double header.
