Wednesday, February 24, has several NBA games scheduled. If you’re planning on putting together a roster for a daily fantasy basketball team, we’ve started the research for you. Here, we’ve broken the field down by position, just like what you’ll be asked to do when you are drafting your team.

Point Guard

There are a few really good point guards scheduled to play on Wednesday, so this could be a tough choice at this slot. The top scheduled scorer for the night is Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder. He’s putting up 24.1 points per night, has 10.1 assists, and 7.5 rebounds. He’s been a top fantasy producer this year, and is going to be the most expensive player at this position in pretty much every league. The Thunder are playing the Dallas Mavericks, who are a decent team, but only slightly above .500. Westbrook should have a decent night against them, if you are prepared to pay a lot.

Instead of Westbrook, other PGs to consider include Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors and John Wall of the Washington Wizards. Lowry is averaging 21.1 points per game, and of the top eight PGs in the game right now, has the highest percentage of made shots when it comes to three pointers. Wall is putting up 20.0 points per game and has 9.9 assists.

Guard

Steph Curry is a must-draft for this night. He’s the most expensive player on your roster, but he’s the most expensive player for a reason. He has 29.8 points per game—9.1 more than the next best guard in the NBA. He also has impressive supporting stats: 6.5 assists, 2.1 steals, and 5.3 rebounds. He’s a great guard, and he’s unstoppable right now. Overpaying for him is fine, just as long as you are able to find great value in other places. You can also consider Dwyane Wade, but considering the fact that the Miami Heat are playing the Golden State Warriors on this night, Wade is likely to put up below average statistics.

Forward

You’re likely to gravitate toward Kevin Durant for this game, and that could be a good choice, but if you draft Westbrook and Curry, there’s no way your roster can support Durant, too. Forward is a strong position, and there are other good choices, and that gives you plenty of chances to find good value for low prices. Paul George of the Indiana Pacers could put up decent numbers this game as they are playing the New York Knicks, who have not been strong defensively this year. George is a much better choice in this instance than Carmelo Anthony of the Knicks. Anthony has had a weaker than normal season given his talent level, and George has the edge in this matchup.

Center

Center is an inherently weak fantasy position, but that gives you an opportunity to make up for spent salary in other places. Jahlil Okafor of the Philadelphia 76ers is a good choice here. The 76ers have had an awful year, but Okafor is the second best point scoring center in the NBA. The only one above him is not playing on this night. The good news about drafting a player like Okafor is that you know what to expect. Pretty much every team that he’s played has been better than his, and that means that he’s going to be fairly consistent based upon his past performances. He has been averaging 17.1 points per game, has 7.3 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks. He’s weak on his shooting, but takes enough shots that this is overcome, to a degree. He will be cheap, which is good, but he’s also going to be a decent contributor on your roster, which is even better. Other players to consider include Marcin Gortat of the Wizards with his 13.7 points per game and Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves who has been averaging 17.0 points per game with consistency.
